The Old San Juan Museum is a product of the Spring 2018 Core Design Studio at The USF School of Architecture and began by surveying the site in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. The site is sloped and also angled, therefore offered a challenge in designing a multi level structure that was embedded into the site. The program called for a large open space, bathrooms, offices, and storage. In the process drawings the large open space found its place cantilevering into the public space of the sidewalk and inviting the people into the space.
