The Machine De Phenomene is a product of the Spring 2016 Core Design Studio at The USF School of Architecture. The focus of project is private and public space inspired by the film Vozvrashchenie carried into the process of organizing the spaces of the model in this project. The division of small, medium, and large spaces were sorted in a triangular fashion. The smaller space being on the bottom were the entrance of the model is. Carrying up into the model the medium scaled space is open aired, wrapping into the top of the model where the large scaled space causes the skin of the model to stretch open. These spaces bring mass, linear, and planar together into a cohesive consciousness of space and time. The skin of the model extrudes down and over creating a strong connection that translates and transforms the spaces from negative to positive with the presence and absence of light.
